How to take Microgynon
Each pack of Microgynon contains 21 pills per strip. The pills should be taken for 21 days, followed by a 7 day break. Some women may notice breakthrough bleeding during the 7 day break, however, this is completely normal. Microgynon can be started at any time during your menstrual cycle. If a new pack is started within the first 5 days of your period, you are protected against pregnancy immediately. If you start a pack at any other time during your cycle, then you should consider extra protection, such as condoms. Microgynon is suitable for women who have given birth recently or have had a miscarriage.
