Ovranette is a combined oral contraceptive pill which works to help protect against unwanted pregnancy. These pills when taken correctly, are over 99% effective. Ovranette contains the synthetic version of the hormones, oestrogen and progesterone. These two hormones work together to help prevent ovulation and thicken cervical mucus. This ultimately makes it more harder for sperm to fertilise an egg, resulting in pregnancy.

How to take Ovranette
Each pack of Ovranette contains 21 pills which need to be taken consecutively for 21 days. Once the 21 days have ended, you would usually need to take a 7 day break, in which you will experience some breakthrough bleeding. This bleeding is similar to a period and completely normal to experience during the pill free days. Once these 7 days have passed, you can start the next pack straight away, even if you are still bleeding. If you’re late taking your pill, or have missed a dose, talk to one of our team to find out what to do.
